Hello and Welcome,

There is no shame in seeking help. In fact, it's one of the most courageous things you can do.

We all go through difficult times and sometimes we need someone to talk to. Working with me will be an opportunity to explore what experiences, beliefs, thought patterns or feelings might be holding you back. Sometimes it is the past that holds us back, othertimes it is the present day issues that can cause us much pain.

My role as the therapist is to listen, ask thought-provoking questions, to offer support and tools to empower you to make positive choices that will improve your emotional well-being. I am here to walk alongside you. Our work together will be full of empathy, curiosity and compassion.

I am a person-centred therapist based in West London and have 12 years experience as a counsellor working with adults. I offer a compassionate, nonjudgmental space for you to talk freely about the issues that might be troubling you.

I work with clients who suffer from anxiety, depression and low mood, problems with friendships/relationships, grief and loss, low-self esteem, highly sensitive people, motherhood, clients with ADHD, people pleasing and lack of boundaries, stress and overwhelm.

I offer short to long-term counselling for adults face to face in W5 and W7 and also online depending on your preference.

Please feel free to get in touch if you would like to arrange an initial free consultation over the phone on kirsty@kirstybirnstiel.com. This gives you an opportunity to see if you'd like to work with me.
